Supporting Ottawa Charities….

One of Ottawa’s most loved Christmas event is opening back for the 2012 Holiday Season. The 15th Annual CHEO Trees ofHope festivities will be held at the Chateau Laurier beginning on Monday November 26th with a tree decorating party for all the registered business.

There are several ways to participate as outlined by Deneen Perrin Director, Public Relations Fairmont Château Laurier:

“You are invited to partake in Trees of Hope and get your holiday shopping started. There are a myriad of auction prizes to bid on during this heartwarming event which takes place in the Ballroom of the Fairmont Château Laurier on November 26, 2012. To RSVP for the event email The deadline for RSVP is today November 22nd, 2012.

Christmas comes alive with our annual Trees of Hope event in support of the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario. The halls are decked with 30 uniquely decorated Christmas trees during the festive season. Guests can feel the magic of the holidays through the twinkle of the lights and the forest of the trees.

Starting November 27, 2012 until January 5, 2013 the halls will be filled with the stunning trees decorated by local companies/organizations. Many people have made this their holiday tradition by enjoying Afternoon Tea, Sunday Brunch, or even the Dicken’s Buffet. After a lovely meal, visitors will roam the halls to vote on their favorite tree while making a donation to the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario”

Having been a regular visitor to CHEO with my children I appreciate the hard work and dedication the staff exhibit on a daily basis. My family and I will continue with our family tradition of Tea at the Chateau Laurier followed by wandering the beautifully decorated hallways and of course choosing our favourite tree for 2012.

A huge thank you to all the sponsors this year including Chateau Laurier who make Ottawa such a special place during the holidays.
